Silicone vs. TPE - The Basics

Silicone: Silicone is a premium material known for its lifelike feel and durability. It's frequently used in high-quality love dolls to provide a realistic and luxurious experience. Silicone dolls offer a supple, skin-like texture that closely mimics the human touch. They are prized for their exceptional quality and longevity.

Silicone is the newest and best material on the market. Since it's more expensive to produce for manufacturers the price of silicone dolls is higher, but if you value the most immersive experience, this is for you.

TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer): TPE is a softer and more affordable material often chosen for its budget-friendly options. TPE has a squishier texture, making it ideal for those who prefer a more yielding feel. Before manufacturers figured out how to produce silicone dolls, there were only TPE dolls.

Sadly, TPE doesn't even come close to the insanely high quality details that silicone offers. Due to this, we simply don't offer full TPE dolls. We only offer hybrid dolls which use silicone for the head, and the most premium TPE available for the body. There are various kinds of TPE with varying quality, but all of our models come with the most premium TPE each manufacturer offers (mostly platinum TPE).

Feel, Quality, and Longevity

When it comes to feel, quality, and longevity, silicone outshines TPE:

Feel: Silicone dolls are renowned for their lifelike feel. The texture and suppleness of silicone closely resemble human skin, enhancing the tactile experience.

Quality: Silicone dolls are considered premium due to their exceptional quality. They are less prone to wear and tear, making them a long-term investment.

Longevity: If durability is a priority, silicone is the superior choice. Silicone dolls typically outlast TPE counterparts, ensuring years of enjoyment.

Price Range

As already mentioned, silicone dolls typically come with a higher price tag due to their premium quality and durability. TPE dolls, on the other hand, are often more budget-friendly, making them accessible to a wider range of buyers.

Due to their lower quality we only offer very few hybrid models, but rest assured that these are still the best the manufacturer has to offer! Hybrid dolls by Irontech Doll for example still look amazingly realistic since they exclusively use the highest quality TPE.

Conclusion

Choosing between silicone and TPE for your human doll depends on your preferences and priorities. If you value a lifelike feel, exceptional quality, and long-lasting companionship, silicone is the way to go. However, if budget-friendliness is your main consideration, TPE offers a compelling alternative.

Ultimately, the choice is yours, and it should reflect your desires and needs. Keep in mind that both materials can provide an enriching and satisfying experience, catering to a diverse range of tastes.
